This Is Often Overlooked With New Podcasters

I’ve noticed something with podcasters who are just starting out.

Many think that if they just start without a clear plan or an idea of a plan and they’ll be fine and their podcast will grow organically.

Too many times, I see budding podcasters just start a show, without a clear plan and then fizzle out after 3 episodes — frustrated and discouraged.

It doesn’t have to be that way. I swear!

I’m a big proponent of not getting too much into the weeds and details before hitting record and publish, but I’m also a proponent of having an idea of a few things.

  • Format
  • Cadence
  • Seasonal or Ongoing

Even if new podcasters start with just those three things in mind, they’ll have a better chance of success than the majority of the podcasters out there.
