It’s a simple, yet important, tip that is often overlooked by beginner podcasters.
What is it? Get organized from the beginning!
Regardless of what type of podcast you’re building out you want to have a concrete plan on how it’s going to work. Especially if you’re going to have guests on your show.
This can be a simple Notion database or a Google Sheet.
Some fields you’ll want to are:
- Episode Number
- Name of the Guest
- Recording Date
- Status of the Guest (Approved, Scheduled, Preliminary Call Done, Edited, Uploaded, Scheduled, Published, etc.)
- Published (Air) Date
- Explicit Checkbox (Just in case the conversation gets salty)
- And a spot for notes.
Staying organized will help you not only help you stay on top of things, but will make the whole process move smoother and help you stick with it.
